Starbucks Corp. has appointed Nordstrom executive Cathy Smith as the company’s chief financial officer and executive vice president at a crucial time for the coffee chain, which is undergoing a major turnaround effort.
The company announced the move in a
filing Tuesday. Smith was described by William Blair analyst Sharon Zackfia as “a veteran finance executive with roughly 30 years of experience in the CFO role at a variety of publicly traded and privately held companies.”
